Salesman Attachment

 In Salesman attachment I work with Younis Adil, who is very promising and experienced salesman. He has almost 30 year service in PTC distribution. Salesman basic role is to deliver the product to retail stores and receive payments against its sale of product. Salesman follows the “Nine step of Call”. These steps make ensure that salesman work according to the rules and regulation of PTC.

Salesmen have been given some targets, based on every month and monitor by the distributor. Salesmen prepare DSD Daily stock delivery report and report to the field sales officer. Salary of salesman is commotion base. Minimum salary would be 4500Rs. Salesmen also play an important role in customer relationship management.
 

Distributor Office Attachment
   
In distribution office I work with Mr. Hameed (Distribution Manager) and Mr. Mazher (Distribution Administrator). The role of Distribution Manager is to manage the salesman and distribution godown. Where as, the role of distributor administrator is to administrate the distribution office and the IT department. They use SAP software for their inventory management.
 

Common activities performed at the distribution were: -

  • ICA Claims: - In word carriage allowance, from company warehouse to distribution godown, which is 4 paisa per 1000 sticks.
  • OCA Claims: - Out word carriage allowance, for the distributor to cover those markets which have less sales volume and located at distance.
  • Promotional Claims: - Company schemes related claims in which some free stock is given to consumer and later distributor claims it from company.
  • VSS and VSA: - these are subsides for sale promotion in villages or unprofitable areas.
  • D&D claims: - These are the claims made by distributor when there is any damage; destroy or missing/short stock received from company warehouse.
  • SD-20: - This is daily stock report, brand wise, purchase and sale of the stock.
  • SD-9: - It contains overall reporting of PTC brands and competitor brands.
  • OCF: - Order control form prepared by the distributor, it is the estimated consumer demand. At the end of every month distributor received stock from warehouse on the bases of this form.


In Multan the distribution office is known as PDM (Pakistan Distribution management). It is privately own by the owner Mr. Tahir naqi.
